Webster left Picton in a launch ati 5.30 tin's morning and was to land on a North Island! beach about 8 a.m. He proposes to attempt to swim to the South Island from this beach accompanied by a launch contain, ing a pressman' and Webster is a member of the Ponsonby Swimming Club and Is twenty yearg of age. He won the three mile champion sii ip at Diiiiiodin recently.
