DAIRY PRODUCE. The London butter market is still .firm, with an upward tendency, the quotations being at the same level as last week, /viz., 178 s for salted and 182 s for unsalted. The cheese market is firm, and prices show a further advance of 2s, the present level being 98s, ns against 90s last week. The following/ summary of cheese stocks, which / Tp contained in a private cable received yesterday, shows that the ammmt s in store are not as great as they were at the same time last year. Last year’s stocks are given in parentheses;— In Britain,—Canadian, 4700 tons (7800 tons); New Zealand, 5100 (5100). Total, 9800 tons (12,400 tons). In "Canada.—l2,9oo tons tons). Total cheese stocks in both Britain and Canada, 22,700 tons (20,100 tons). Arrivals during the week were 'the Port Hardy, Matakana and Huu- . tingdou.
