The third set also went to the holders. Tiklan? was showing grim determination and going for everything that came oyer the net- , in the next tire Frenchman took command*iiorbtfa’s wonderful recoveries and smashing service proved most effective/ In the, fifth the Americans won as they liked, 6—o, and with it the match. The linesman gave the French a de-J cision in their favour which they considered doubtful, and Borotra deliberately double" faulted.
