The unanimous decision that the Health Department be asked to consider the question of creating a new fospilal district, the Rotorua Hospital to be the base institution, was reached by the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday. The following resolution regardng the agricultural college was dopted by the Canterbury A. and P. \ssoeiatiou on Wednesday: “That in he opinion of this meeting, neither ;he number of agricultural experts, at oresent required, nor the finances of he Dominion warrant the immediate' -stablishment of two agricultural coleges of university standing and capable of turning out first-class agricultural experts, that the Government ' e urged to consider the feasibility of both reconciling the conflicting claims of the North, and South Is'ands and of economically and efficiently meeting the present requirements, by the establishment of a single agricultural college, located oartly at Lincoln and partly in a central position in the North Island.” T t was decided to send a copy of tlie resolution to the Prime Minister and to each member of the Cabinet.
