The Anglican Synod decided in fav- ' our of the appointment of a Coad-jutor-Bishop of Sydney at a stipend .of £IOOO to assist the Archbishop. It t was argued that the recent illness ■or Archbishop Wright was largely , due to overwork. The growth of the diocese necessitated such an appointment.
