STRATFORD POULTRY CLUB

SHOW QUESTION DISCUSSED. A meeting of members and all interested in poultry keeping was held at Smith's tea rooms last night under the auspices of the newly-formed Stratford Poultry Olub. Mr L. T. Aylward occupied the chair, and among those present were Mesons. A. W. Reid, J. C. Robins, R. V. Kay, C. Martin, W. J. McAloon, A. J. Davey, Q T. Gibbons and C. Gibbons (Ngaere), H. Kirkwood, W. Pinhcy, and Mr T. K Male (secretary).

The ouestion of holding, a show in connection with the club was discussed, and it wa s decided that it take place on 9th and 10th July next. It was mentioned that assistance wa° offered by officials connected with other established clubs, and there is every indication that the club and its show prospects will be well sunported.

Some time was spent in discussing the new rules submittal by the sub" committee and these were dealt with and revised by the members, and on the motion of Mr Robins, were finally adopted.

The subscription was fixed a t 5s per member per annum.

It was agreed on the motion of Mr G. T. Gibbons, fco be affiliated with the North Island Poultry. Association.

Messrs J. Q. Robins, R V. Kay, A. J. Davey and L.' T. Aylward were appointed a sub-committee to deal with details relative to holding a show, and to report' at the next meetinof
