HIGH,SCHOOLS MATCH. The schools match yesterday afternoon between Stratford and I' eilding was an interesting exhibition and a good deal of interest- was taken 1 in dt. Mr 0. Gray refereed., Stratford was fortunate in having a useful back line, of which Allen and Cot--tier were the best. H. Davies, at half, has the makings of a fine player.. The outstanding forwards were A. and H, Thomas and W. Pearce, but the whole vanguard played excellently. For Feilding Bramwell, Mansen and Pearce made a fine attacking trio. Mickleson and Simpson played great forward games, and wore ably, supported by Smith (rover). Taking full advantage of the galei in the first spell, Feilding . kicked high and usually gained much ground, but the Strafford defence was very sure.
