NEWTON KING LTD'S REPORT. At Stratford on 21st August the penning of store cattle was small, and no change was noticeable in "themarket. Better enquiry was in evidence in dairy section, prices strengthening a shade in consequence. Yearling heifers £2 Is, £3; quality do. (Jersey) £6 Ms; store cows 30s, £2; fat do. £4 3 S 6d, £5; springing heifers £4 ss, £10; heifer calVed £ll ;f springing cows £G, £9 10s; quality (io. £lO ss, £1,1; cows calved £4 10s, £5 10s ; best do. £8 10k £ll 10s. At Inglewood on the 22nd instant we had a, moderate yardling of all classes, mr>st of which sold. Ewes in lam!) 295, 32s Gd- mixed se x hoggets 24s 6d; yearling steers 35s ; yearling heifers 395., £2 4s j store cows 295, 31s; fa t do. £5 10s; springing heifers £4 105,., £7 ss; dairy cows £4 ss, £G 10s. At Kiore on the 20th instant we conducted a clearing sale on behalf of Mr B. Johnson which resulted satisfactorily.
