The settlers of the Tahora district have not been allowed to utilise the Public Works train for passenger service between Tahora and Whangamomona, thus causing them quite a lot of inconvenience and loss of time. With a view to securing; this concession, the Settlers' Association placed the matter in the hands of Mr R. Masters, 'M.I*., and as a result of his representations the Resident Engineer has been instructed to allow Tahora settlors to travel by the Public Works train on the running- days, namely, Tuesdays and Saturdays. ,
