Accidents and Fatalities
DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. Per Press Association. Christchurch, August 29. Cyril Horstan, 30, single, died under an anaesthetic at the public hospital to-day, while having teeth extracted. I MOTOR ACCIDENT. Palmerston North, August 29. A man named Duncan, of Shannon, was admitted to hospital to-night wlith fractured ribs and skull injuries. It is believed he was driving a car which capsized near Shannon. He is about 40 years of age. He is too seriously injured to make a statement. LABORER INJURED. Palmerston North, August 291 H. Dyke, a worker at the Man gall ao hydro works, was crushed in the
tunnel this morning by an electric motor, sustaining injuries to the thigh and abdomen. Ho belongs to the Wanganui district. He was brought to the hospital at Palmerston North, where he is progressing favourably.
