With the defeat of Victoria on Saturday the New Zealand hockey team brought a successful tour to ta conclusion. They played twelve matches and won eleven, the visitors scoring fifty-nine goals to fourteen against them. By winning the test against Australia New Zealand retains the hockey ashes. The visit has greatly increased interest in the game. Hie majority of the team sail in the Moeraki to-morrow, and the Auckland party leave Sydney in the Ulimaroa on September 1. m
