BOROUGH BY-LAWS

A BATCH OF BREACHES. A good number of citizens were called upon at the Court this morning to explain why they had committed breaches of the Borough bylaws. Harold Vickdi's was fined 10s for leaving a. motor, cycle standing on a footpath in Broadway without a light. Stanley Vickers was similarly charged, and was fined 10s. H. S. Martin was charged with driving a motor car in Broadway after dark without a lights inspector Rowson said he pulled defendant up at 7.85 p.m.. Defendant said his light wires had fused near the Borough boundary, and he was hurrying in to get his car to the garage. Afterwards defendant rang up the garage. The S.M. said it appeared to be an accident and ordered defendant to pay costs only (7s). G. Chhiba was fined 10s for riding a bicycle without a light. James Allen was fined 10s f° r riding a bicycle without a light. Defendant said he had bought a bicycle which had no lamp and he was coming to town to buy one.
