Per Press Association, Auckland, August 24. The Mount Eden Borough Council decided to dispense with the services of the borough engineer, Mr J. Rogers, as iroin September 1, for having publicly criticised the Council. 'the Mayor, Mr Rayll, said he had definitely warned the engineer that reports to council must first be submitted to him (the Mayor) before publication, as passages in previous reports which had been deleted in the council’s copies had subsequently appeared in the pre.ss.
