Cecil Henry Sharp was fined £lO for the falsa registration of the birth of an illegitimate child. i AUCKLAND SESSIONS. Auckland, August 22. At the Supreme Court, Justiqp Hordman sentenced George Richard Slade to four years’ hard labour for assault with intent to commit rape. It \ ras' described as a very bad case, | prisoner having pulled ttho girl off her horse. Herbert Helen, who committed a breach of his license by the Prisons Board, was described by the Judge as a confirmed criminal, and was .*-enbencod to three years’ hard labour. Wiri/nu Moinaita, who discharged a gun at his uncle in the Irtish, causing hjisi uncle to lo.se the sight of one eye, with the sole excuse that be feared whipping, war* sentenced to five years’ reformative treatment.
