TOTAL COST OF £15,000. THE SUCCESSFUL ARCHITECTS, Per Press Association. Wellington, August 18. Members of tW Anzac Mounted Forces subscribed £5400 for the monument to their dead comrades at Port Said. The Australian Government contributed £BOOO and the New Zealand Government has given £2OOO, the total cost of the memorial boinp; estimated at £16,000. Designs were invited from Australian and NewZealand architects and sculptors. t The first prize winner (250 guineas) was Mr O. W. frilbert, of Melbourne, the second (100 guineas) Mrs J. L. Pencey, of Adelaide, and the third (50 guineas) Mr W. L. Bowles, of Brisbane.
