BIBLE IN SCHOOLS, Per Pre>tf Association. Wellington, August 17. A conference of the Churches was held .this morning to .discuss. Mr L. M. Isitt’s Bill on Bible iustructiori in State Schools. Tim Primate of New Zealand presided. resolution wa s moved, by Dr. Gibb; and seconded by the Bishop of Auckland—“ That this conference thanks Mr Isitt for his effort® on behalf of Bible in. Schools approves the Bill now under consideration, and urges Mr Isitt to do all in his power to secure its adoption by. Parliament this session.” The motion was cordially agreed to, and arrangements were mad© to further the Bill in various ways. CHINESE STOMACH-ACHE. Auckland, August 17.
