Woolston Handicap (flat), of 300 sovs, 6 furlongs.—KiHmore (9.2) 1, Kilfane (10.6) 2, Happy Warrior (10.8) 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 1.13. Beaufort Steeples, of 75050v5., about 2*- miles.—Master Peter (9,13) 1, First Line (11.8) 2, Zeus (10.2) 3. Scratched; Manawapango. Won by two lengths. Time, 5.19.
Sumner Handicap, of 300sovs., 1 mile.—Red Wink (10.2) 1, Barmaid (9.5) 2, Contempt (10.8) 3. Scratched; Mountain Signal. Won by a length. Time, 1.44 I^s. Grand National Hurdles, KoOsovs, about 21 miles.—General Advance (9.11) 1. Vagabond (11.0) 2, Peter Aman s (9.13) 3. Scratched: Malingerer, Matatua. Won by four lengths. Time, 4.55 1-5. The winner was first to break the line and was always handy. Racing for the straight Vagabond went to the front but at the last hurdle, the v inner <b-ew out and won.
