S.P.C.A PROSECUTES, CASE DISMISSED, Newcastle (N.S.W.), August 3. At the Wallsend Police Court, Robert Cordoroy, Inspector for the S. P.CiA., proceeded ng iust Ernest Baldwin and Richard Wilson for illtreating rabbits. At a meeting of the Wallseoid Cfirsing Club. Cbrdcroy said that he saw Wilson take rabbits out of a crate. The rabbits' eyes wero puffed up and there was a discharge from the eyes, which Wilson wiped off with his hand. Wilson then showed the rabbits to the dogs and ran about 100 yards in front and put the rabbits on the ground. Tho rabbits feebly hopped a few yards, then the dogs were re leased and they tore the rabbits to pieces. Tho rabbits wore so blind that they could not see anything and had no chance of getting away. Tho magistrate said that as there Seemed ho chance of the rabbits escaping, and as they had to be killed, he did not think it made any difference what state tho rabbits were in. Ho dismissed tho case saying that he did not have sufficient proof that the animals were ill-treated
