MOSACAR CUP FINAL. Auckland, August 11. . New Plymouth 6 beat Auckland Grammar School nil. Eaves and Mackay scored tries for the visitors, PRIMARY SCHOOLS TOURNEY., The weather t*-day was disappointing for the boys engaged in the primary schools;? tournament in Stratford, especially in vi&w\ of the very wet day last Saturday, necessitating a postponement. TKe morning brought drizzling rain,' which made matters unpleasant on the Showgrounds, where the tournament was played. However, the lads faced the position in splendid spirit, aind were rerwarded by better weather in the afternoon, when the rain ceased. The results were as follows: North drew with Central (no score)'; South beat West 8 to nil ; Central beat We«! 3 to nil; SoUth heat North 3 to nil; North heat West 8 to nil. In the final game Central boat South 6 to 3, Central thus winning the championship.
