Christchurch, August 8. Canterbury beat Southland by 29 points to 10, The ground ,ana the weather were ideal, but the game was devoid of excitement. Southland were stale and without^ the services of Richardson, White and Bell. INTER-COOLEEGE MATCHES. Wanganui, August 8. An inter-college football match this afternoon resulted in Wanganui College defeating King’s College, (Auckland) by I‘6 to 9.. The match was crammed, with bright incidents, the Rugby played belpg such as it seldom seen nowadays. The semi-finals of the 2nd juniors and 3rd junior championship will bp played on Saturday next. The Stratford 2nd. Juniors will journey to Hawera to play Hawera, and the 3rd juniors will play Kaponga on the Technical High School ground. The following will represent 2nd Jdhiprs: .
