Polling Day.

THE LOCAL ELECTORATE,

Judging by telegrams from other parts, '• the good weather experience i in Stratford this morning is Domin-ion-wide. Polling opened under moat iavotahle conditions, and big tallies niust have been recorded at the two booths by mid-day. The Town Hall was the chief centre,, and the street was a hive of industrious workers on behalf of the respective parties. Each had its office, whence the gathering in of voters was directed, and there was a constant stream of cars arriving and departing with voters or receiving tlieir orders. In Broadway affairs were quiet, and at one o’clock the thoroughfare was just slightly busier than ,on an ordinary half-holi-day. Now and again small groups of persons were to be found discussing the situation. The Efficiency League’s organisation was also in evidence fit the poll, but the Parliamentary ballot appeared to overshadow this liquor issue in the topics of the" day. , ■' As previously: announced, tlie results as they come to hand this evening regarding Stratford and other electorates in tho Dominion will be ■ screened flby the “Stratford Evening Post”! dni the balcony of the King’s' Cinema.
