THE STRATFORD SEAT.

Air 11. Master**, Liberal-Labor candidate addressed a meeting of the elector's at Inglewood last evening ana was accorded an attentive hearing on making his final appeal to the electors.

Later he addressed a very large audience in the‘King's Cinema, Stratford, and on entering the Hall a little after : $.30 tfa!s received with cheers. Mr Masters spoke vigorously i; and dealt with scveral politicbr questions from ijihe Liberal ' standpoint,' and in conclusion thanked members of ‘his committee' who worked hard, and only ,asked them to continue their efforts on polling day,’ and He would' have every confidence in the result.

At the conclusion, Mr Campbell Jackson, in moving a vote of thanks and confidence, said he had always voted for the Reform Party, but on this occasion he could not vote against a. man like Mr Masters.

Major Foley, in seconding tlie motion, declared that the returned soldiers had l received nothing to be thankful for from the Massey Government.

The motion was carried amidst applause and cheers for the candidate. The Mayor (Mr J. W. McMillan) presided.
