The following telegrams have passed between Mr R. Masters (Chairman of .the Taranaki Education Board, and Dr. Anderson (Director of Education), Wellington. It is regretted there was a mutilation in Saturday’s issue of Mr Masters’ wire to Dr. Anderson, and tbefnll text of the telegrams are herewith re-published.

To Mr Masters.—“ Grant of £I7OO approved for purchase of high school site subject to conditions that the whole block 69 consisting of cemetery reserve and section forming school site he vested in the Crown.” To Dr. Anderson:: “Your telegram to hand. Borough Council made it a condition of reserve handed to Dcpartmont that it should bo hold for education purposes Will tills obtain if vested in the Crown?”

Replied to as follows: “Re reserves. Intention is that suv-division 1 and 2 of No. 69 should be added to general primary education endowment.” The result of the visit of the depu-' tation to Wellington in regard to the above must be considered eminently satisfactory.
