In order to clear up any misnuder,standing regarding the* Stockholm Conference, .Mr Thompson interviewed M. Kerensky, who issued the following sthtemeiit, which the Russian Government intended to convey to the British Government:—That being a national coalition of different parlies the Russian Government could not consent to be bound by the decision of the Conference. He regarded favorably any effort designed to promote a reasonable peace. The 'Russian Government "was asking the Allies not to place obstacles in the way of delegates wishing to attend.
