—«*n>i Mr J. W. McMillan is spending tne holidays with his family at Waitara. Mr M. B. Bergin, of Malone and King’s staff, passed his final law examination held in November last. Mr J. S. Rowe, of the local S.M. Court staff, is off to the W 7 aikato on holiday leave.

The many friends of Corporal “Dick” Masters, will he interested to learn that he is returning to Stratlord by to-night’s express.

Adjutant Cook, in charge or trie local Salvation Army Corps, is under orders to transfer, and his last servico here will he held on Sunday, 14th. January.

Among those at home for the Christmas leave is Corporal Bugler A. Curd, of B Company, 22nd Reinforcements, who was on the staff of the Eginont Carriage Factory prior to enlisting. Bugler Curd is to he congratulated on having secured his first stripes, and as lie is now senior bugler for the Reinforcements, further promotion in the near future seenls almost assured. Before leaving camp, Bugler Curd was the recipient of a bugle from the officers and men of the Company, a distinction of which he la justly proud.
