MANY MACHINE GUNS. THEIR WORTH TO THE GERMANS United Frem Association. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Paris, June 18. The German re-capture of portion of the Festubert trenches was largely due to machine-guns and hand grenades. It is stated that on some parts of the German front they have one machine-gun for every twelve men. THE ALLIED AIRMEN. GERMAN BATTERY DESTROYED ON BELGIAN COAST. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Amsterdam, Juno 18. The Allied airmen’s bombardment of the Belgian coast destroyed a German battery on the dunes.
