WILD TRADING.
WALL STREET IN A FERMENT. DECLINE IN RAILWAY STOCKS. Now York, September 23. Wild trading in United States steel shares threw Wall Street into a ferment, Liquidation of shares was conducted on a large scale. Five points wore lost in the first hour. There was a slight recovery afterwards. The total sales were the largest since 1902. Liquidation was due to the belief that the Steel Corporation was forced to dissolve as the result of the recent suit with the Department of Justice.
