STRATFORD A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

THE COMING SHOW. ' This progressive Association is making every preparation for the second annual show to be held on the 29th and 30th November next. Since the first show great improvements have been made on thd Show Grounds. J tie north eastern part of the grounds —which was very rough and uncultivated—has been ploughed, drained, levelled, sown down in grass, and will bo securely fenced off into convenient sized paddocks. This will enable the Association to hold exhibitors’ stock for some little time before the show if necessary. Wire netting has been placed round the whole of the oval. The oval is now in splendid condition, having been sheep-grazed during the year. Forty commodious bull and horse boxes have been erected in a convenient part of the grounds. The want of these boxes was greatly felt last year, exhibitors in some cases Having to walk their animals considerable distances to get accommodation outside the grounds. Ten extra bull stalls have also been erected on another part of the grounds; together with six fat stock pens. The whole of the cattle pens have been made more convenient for yarding the exhibits, while much better accommodation has been provided for sheep. That the forthcoming show will be on a much larger scale and in every way much better than the last one is-be-yond all doubt, notwithstanding that the first annual show was a credit to everyone concerned in its management. The classes in this year’s scluy dulc will, show a considerable increase on last year, almost every section having additional classes added. The schedule will bo issued in a very short time. Donations towards the special prize list have been coming in freely, and already the special prize list much exceeds that of last year. It is- expected that donations in this direction will exceed £3OO. It is indeed a credit to the people, of the town and country alike that such generous donations have been made. Several silver cups that were competed for last year will be open for competition again this year, while other cups and trophies have been donated towards the prize-list for this year’s show. Five very handsome trophies donated to the Association are now on exhibi-' tion in the Stratford Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ shop in Broadway.
