LUMSDEN NOTES
SCHOOL BASKETBALL.— A Five Rivers and Mossburn girls combined basketball team travelled to Lumsden and were defeated by the Lumsden school girls’ team by 24 goals to four. The Lumsden team had much the better of the game, and were at a big advantage, having the taller girls of the two teams. FOOTBALL.— A Mossburn football team played Lumsden on Saturday, winning by 21 points to 11. A, Sutherland, who played centre for Mossburn, put up an outstanding performance by scoring 15 points of Mossbum’s 21. A. Scobie scored eight points for Lumsden with two tries and one conversion and A. Soper scored the remaining three with a try.
