R.S.A. RIFLE CLUB.— The following are the scores at the weekly shoot of the R.S.A. Rifle Club, held in the R.S.A. Hall: H. E. Dore, 76.3; A. J. Earl, 74.1; W. Maxwell, 73.3; J. B. Nicholson, 73.2; Dr Bell, 72.4; W. Drummond, 71; W. Smith, 70.1; Miss Bell, 66.1; C. Tidy, 65; R. Thomas, 64; W. Clearwater, 63.1; W. A. Johnson, 63; C. Humphries, 63; B. Cassells, 63; L. Thompson, 61.1; H. Durrant, 60; G. Racklay, 59; L. Tomlin, 54; Miss A. Angus, 48; J. Henderson, 43; Mrs Humphries, 36. FOOTBALL.— A Mossbum and Five Rivers school boys’ football team travelled to Lumsden and were defeated by the Lumsden school boys' team by 9 points to nil. The Lumsden team was much heavier, but the Five RiversMossburn team put up a good showing and were unlucky not to score. In the second half, they had the ball several times on Lumsden’s line, but could not put the finishing touches to their play. Waddel, who played centre for Mossbum-Five Rivers, put up a great performance. R.S.A. MEETING.— The monthly meeting was held in the R.S.A. Club room. There was a good attendance. The secretary reported that the miniature rifle club had started and was being well attended. The arrangements for the annual reunion were held over for the August meeting. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT.—A euchre tournament was held in the Plunket rooms by the Plunket Society, and a large crowd was present. The winners were Mrs N. Crosbie and Mr J. J. Cavanagh. The winners of the aggregate prize was Mrs Biggar, women, and Mr *L. Tomlin, men.
