ALCOHOLIC CONTENT OF BEER
Representations To Royal Commission (P.A.) . DUNEDIN, August 8. The Royal Commission on Licensing concluded its sittings in Dunedin today and adjourned to Wellington on August 28. The Society for the Protection of Women and Children in the course of its representations made two suggestions, that beer should be of weaker alcoholic content and, second, that the goodwill payable on the transfer of the hotels should be considerably reduced to avoid the temptation to afterhours trading.
