Changeable and Cooler
(Special) WELLINGTON, April 6. Following is the special forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office this evening for the period ending 5 p.m. tomorrow:— There is a trough of low pressure east of the Dominion. Another is approaching from the south-west. Moderate to fresh westerly to southwesterly winds predominating. The weather becoming changeable and cooler, with occasional showers.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was overcast with heavy rain in the morning. Later in the day the sun came out and a fresh westerly wind prevailed. The weather at one o’clock this morning was cool and overcast, with a moderate westerly wind. The barometer reading was 29.78 inches (falling).
