SECRETARY RESIGNS
Auckland Hospital Board (Special) AUCKLAND, December 13. The resignation of the secretary of the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr C. L. Grange, was received by the board and was accepted with much regret. It was agreed to release Mr Grange from his duties on January 15 and to grant him a retiring allowance of six months’ leave of absence on full pay. Appreciation was expressed of the long and loyal service given by Mr Grange. On the recommendation of the Finance Committee, the board decided to call for applications for the position of secretary at a salary of £l2OO a year, rising by £lOO a year to £l5OO.
SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCERT— An enjoyable concert of elocutionary items, singing and dancing was given by the pupils of St. Aidan’s Sunday School. The items were arranged by Mesdames Keating and A. Neilson, assisted by the teachers. At the conclusion of the concert a Nativity play was presented by the pupils.
