FINAL MEETING OF YOUNG BUSINESSMEN’S CLUB
About 70 members and guests attended a ladies’ night held in the Y.M.C.A. by the Invercargill Young Businessmen’s Club. It was the final meeting of the club for the year. Mr H. F. Mark, who presided, extended seasonal greetings to the guests and members. The programme included songs, humorous items, a talk by Mr J. Matheson on his observations in Greece and India, several impromptu speeches, and finally a dance. The following contributed to the programme: Mi - F. Lange (violin); Mr H. F. Mark (humorous song); Mr L. W. Anderson (humorous item); Mr W. Dawson (song and impersonation). Mrs Johnstone acted as accompanist. The impromptu speeches were given by Messrs W. Bell, F. W. Mark and W. Dawson.
