BRITISH FARMERS
Delegation In Dominion
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, December 13. A delegation representing the Farmers’ Unions of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland arrived in Auckland today to begin a New Zealand tour with the object of studying farming conditions and problems likely to affect the postwar position. The delegation, which will later go to Australia, is led by Mr James Turner. Other members are Messrs S. O. Ratcliffe, W. Young, E. Ervine, G. S. Browne and G. Tuker. Mr Turner, in an interview, said the object of the visit was to discuss, frankly and fully, primary production problems in this part of the world and to prepare the ground for dealing with them on the basis of collaboration between the nations. He urged that the team work of the war years should be continued when peace comes.
