ROBOT AIR ATTACKS ON ENGLAND
716 Civilians Killed In November (8.0.W.) RUGBY, December 11. Almost every morning the Air Ministry and Ministry of Home Security jointly announce that there has been “enemy activity directed against southin'! England” during the preceding 24 hours. It is not stated particularly whether the activity is by flying bombs it rockets, in order to deny information to the enemy. Real air raids have not been known for a long time. Tonight it is announced that during November 716 civilians were killed or are missing, believed killed, and 1500 Injured and detained in hospital as a result of enemy air action in the United Kingdom. The killed included 269 nen, 345 women and 102 children under 16 years. The injured were: 515 men, 799 women and 197 children.
