CITY RESERVE AT SEAWARD BUSH
Improvement Of Land Under Consideration The improvement of 1157 acres of undeveloped land included in .the city reserve at Seaward Bush is being considered by the City Council. At the meeting of the Council last night a letter was received from the resident engineer, Public Works Department, stating that it was considered that about 800 acres could be stumped by a bull-dozer at an estimated total cost of £2400. The remaining 350 acres were too wet for the operation of a heavy machine, but it was considered that this laud could be improved by deeper draining. The Reserves Committee reported that it intended to inspect the area in the New Year and discuss the matter with the lessees. It was, therefore, decided to hold over consideration of the question in the meantime.
