PRESENTATION OF “THE MESSIAH”
N.Z. National Anthem To Be Featured The NeW Zealand National Anthem, “God Defend New Zealand” (Woods), arranged by Mr James Simpson for chorus, orchestra and soprano solo, will be featured at the presentation of Handel’s oratorio, “The Messiah,” in the Civic Theatre on Depenlber 13. Another successful practice was held by the choir last night. It has been found that the practice room at the Y.M.C.A. is too small to accommodate the singers and the practice next Sunday will be held in the gymnasium at the Y.M.C.A. The first practice of the orchestra for the performance will be held next Monday..
