Championship Trials

Some excellent performances were seen at the annual championship trials of the Southland Gun Dog Club, which were held at West Plains during the weekend in ideal conditions. W. F. Clouston’s labrador, Ythan Robert, won both the land and water trials and finished first in the aggregate with a total of 186 points. The judges of the various sections were:—Pujbpy class, Mr T. Chamberlain; novice class, Mr M. A. Pasco; limit class, Mr J. B. Pasco; club championships, Mr P. Hennessey (water) and Sergeant J. R. O’Brien (land).
