NAVAL MEN FOR PACIFIC
LONDON, Sept. 18. Young men from shipyards on the" Tyne, Clyde, Wear, Tees and Mersey are to go east to the Pacific with the Fleet to “vet” British and American warships taking part in the naval offensives against the Japanese. Some of the men have finished special training at British naval establishments. Others have been called up. 1 All will go as naval ratings and only the fittest will be chosen.
