PARADE OF AMBULANCE BRIGADE.—

In customary commemoration of St. John’s day which fell on June 24 the ambulance and nursing cadet divisions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade in Invercargill paraded yesterday to attend special church services which were held in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and St. Mary’s Basilica. The Boys’ Battalion Band and the Civic Band were in attendance.

FOOTBALLER INJURED.— J. Sherlock was admitted to the Southland Hospital on Saturday afternoon suffering from a fracture of the left knee. He was injured while playing football at Rugby Park.
