U.S. AIR FORCE CAMP IN BRITAIN

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, February 22. Griffiss camp headquarters of the United States Army Eighth Air Force in England was turned over formally to the United States Army Air Force by the British Government in a ceremony which also commemorated Washingtons birthday. The camp is named after Lieutenant-Colonel Townsend Griffiss, one of the first American airmen to die in the line of duty in the European theatre of war.
