(Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 22. A heavy earthquake shock in Mexico City resulted in the collapse of a rooming house in a densely populated district of the city. Five persons were killed.

A sharp earthquake in Salt Lake City lasted six minutes. Buildings swayed but no damage is reported. Dr Schneider, a Utah geologist, said the Salt Lake City disturbance was not related to the Mexican earthquake.
