MOST DIFFICULT PATIENT

MR CHURCHILL KEEPS WORKING ♦

(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 22. “Mr Churchill is the world’s most difficult patient,” says The Daily Mail. His cigars are well beyond reach but the doctors are unable to stop him working. “I must do it. There is so much to be done,” he insisted. Mr Churchill dealt with all State papers he normally deals with, and sent for Ministers where necessary.

He is showing a definite improvement.

NEW ZEALAND MESSAGE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, February 23. The following telegram has been dispatched by the Prime Minister to the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs on behalf of the New Zealand Government: “My colleagues and I have learned with deep regret of Mr Churchill’s illness and join with me in expressing best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery. I would be glad to have advice of his progress.”
