Fair To Cloudy (Special) WELLINGTON, October 1. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate north-westerly winds predominating, freshening in the west. The weather fair to cloudy with some scattered rain developing later in the west; temperatures moderate to mild. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was beautifully fine and sunny. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was mild, eahn and clear. The barometer reading was 30.22 in. (rising). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill 8.19 а. 8.53 p.m. Bluff 7.38 a.m.; 8.12 p.m. Riverton 6.38 a.m.; 7.12 p.m. Oreti Beach б. a.m.; 7.21 p.m. THE SUN.—Rises 6.18 a.m., sets 6.57 p.m.
