FIKE IN GARDENS.— The City Fire Brigade received' a call at 6.31 p.m. yesterday to a fire in a hollow tree at No. 4 Gardens on the comer of Ness and Tyne streets. The fire had been caused by somebody who had thrown lighted paper against the tree. The fire was extinguished by means of a bucket pump before any damage was done.
