CONDITION OF ASSAULTED WARDER UNCHANGED
The condition of Mr George Steele, a married man, living at 56 Princes street, is still serious. Mr Steele, who is a warder of the Borstal Institution, was assaulted last Monday night by two inmates of the institution who escaped, but were later recaptured. He was admitted .to the Southland Hospital suffering from a fracture of the skull and other head injuries.
