BLUFF NEWS
COUNCIL MEETING.— At a meeting of the Bluff Borough Council the Mayor (Mr N. W. McGorlick) presided over a good attendance of councillors. Cr L. G. Johnston, reporting on the recently purchased motor-truck for .the electrical department, stated that the jfcuck was in good condition and should give good service. The disposing of the present truck was left in the hands of the special committee. Cr Matheson reported that damage was being caused to the slit trenches by school children. It was decided to write to the School Committee asking the head master to take appropriate action. Satisfaction was expressed in the report of the town clerk (Mr H. A. Ferguson) with the increased rate collection for the current year.
