MINER DIES OF INJURIES
(P.A.) GREYMOUTH, June 12. Robert Glen, aged 39, married, was struck by a fall of stone at the Dobson mine this morning and suffered injuries to his chest and spine. He died this afternoon. ELDERLY MAN STRUCK BY CAR Thomas McDonald, aged 72, of 99 Scandrett street, was admitted to the Southland hospital yesterday suffering from head injuries received when he was struck by a motor-car. His condition was reported last night to be satisfactory. SOLDIER KNOCKED DOWN BY LORRY James Williamson, aged 23, a soldier at the Base Training Camp, was admitted to the Southland hospital yesterday suffering from abrasions to the chest received when he was knocked down by a motor lorry at the camp. His condition was reported last night to be not serious.
