SOUTHEND CROQUET CLUB
Mrs Lawless presided over a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the Southend Croquet Club. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected: —President, Mrs R. Brownlie; vice-presidents, Mrs G. Fredric and Mrs Middleton; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mrs McKenzie; captain, Mrs D. Strang; deputy-captain, Mrs T. Shiels; committee, Mrs Lawless, Mrs Stone and Miss Stead. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 10.
